The OVAM asbestattest is a Flemish system. A Walloon project must be assessed against its work scope and applicable site rules. When employees are involved, federal rules require asbestos risk prevention and assessment of affected materials before work.
Dismantling: identify materials and waste routes
A pre-dismantling inventory prepares material separation and identifies hazardous waste. Asbestos investigation is part of this when asbestos is present or suspected. Environmental requirements and waste transport and processing conditions must be checked for the site.
A recycling centre cannot handle every project
Conditions depend on the waste operator, asbestos type, quantity and who delivers it. A household allowance does not guarantee access for a contractor. The removal proposal should specify packaging, transport, destination and disposal records.

To identify materials, start with an inventory. For renovation, describe the work and areas to open. For removal, state location, condition and approximate quantity. Inventory prices are grouped by size; removal is priced after technical assessment. Local rates and travel costs require confirmation.
