Price and investigation depend on what will be demolished. Prepare the scope, existing reports and access before requesting an offer.

Inspect the whole house to demolish a garage?
FPS Employment distinguishes limited work from complex demolition. Identification concerns affected areas and materials that may expose workers. Describe the garage, its connections and shared structures; the inspector confirms the investigation scope.

Is an asbestattest enough before demolition?
OVAM distinguishes visual inventory from destructive investigation of affected hidden materials. A Flemish sloopopvolgingsplan includes a destructive inventory and covers other waste. Have the scope of your existing document and the need for that plan checked.

In Brussels: an inventory with the application?
Brussels Environment explains when a compliant inventory accompanies the site declaration, including conditions on area and construction date. Smaller sites may still have asbestos obligations: have the file and required permits checked before starting.

In Wallonia: distinguish asbestos and deconstruction
SPW provides a pre-deconstruction inventory guide for material and waste streams. This tool is not a universal asbestos certificate. Clarify which documents apply to your project.

What does a pre-demolition inventory cost?
A visual home inventory package is not automatically the price for pre-demolition investigation. Itemise the visit, areas to open, sampling, analyses and report. Clarify approval for extra analyses and who handles openings or repairs. Approximate size is enough to start the request; the professional confirms scope before a firm price.

What should you provide before the visit?
Prepare the address, available plans, existing reports and a list of what will be removed or kept. Mention occupancy, difficult access and your preferred date. For example: ‘I am demolishing the extension but keeping the shared wall, and the house remains occupied.’ Do not dismantle anything for the form. After the inventory, confirm the next steps for removal and waste.

No obligation. Price confirmed before you agree.
