A photograph of corrugated sheets cannot confirm asbestos. Start with an existing report or analysis before removal. Roofing, access and waste destination then determine the project.

Do you need an exact square-metre measurement?
Not for the initial request. Choose an approximate size and describe the roof: shed, garage, outbuilding or house. The professional confirms area and quantity before setting a price. You do not need to climb onto the roof to fill in a form.
What changes the budget?
Pricing combines preparation, removal method, work at height, material condition and disposal. An accessible intact roof differs from damaged sheets in a hard-to-reach place. Replacement roofing and repairs should be priced separately if planned.
What should the offer specify?
Ask for exact scope, responsible contractor, method, administrative steps, protection, transport and waste records. A small roof does not automatically qualify for simple treatments: regulatory conditions must be met.
Eternit, fibre cement: how do you confirm the material?
The word ‘Eternit’ is not enough to identify your roofing sheets. Gather invoices, the known installation date and any existing report. OVAM recommends an expert or laboratory when in doubt. No sampling is required to complete our form.
For this step: Laboratory analysis · Positive asbestos report: what next?
Is an existing inventory enough before renovation?
An older report is not automatically invalid. Check whether it covers the materials the contractor will disturb, including hidden layers. This also applies to professional work in a private home. A clearly limited intervention does not necessarily require a new inventory of the entire house.
What changed in December 2025
The federal reform applies from 22 December 2025. It strengthens competency requirements for inventories and worker exposure prevention. For your project, check the professional’s qualifications, the affected materials and the planned method before work begins.
No obligation. Price confirmed before you agree.
