Who can apply to the Asbestos Fund?
The Fund assesses recognised diseases linked to exposure in Belgium, including outside work, under its eligibility rules. Certain dependants may also apply. Diagnosis, disease type and exposure evidence are assessed; approval is not automatic.
What should you prepare for help?
Gather available medical records and a timeline of jobs, places lived and known exposure. Contact the Fund directly for the documents and process that fit your situation. Your doctor or a social service can help. Do not include medical records in a building-work quote request.

Compensation, property dispute or removal?
For health, contact your doctor; for compensation, the Fund. For information omitted during a sale, ask a notary or lawyer to review the contract. For the building, prepare an inventory or removal assignment. Keeping these processes separate helps direct the right documents to the right recipient.
